Picasso-Esque Cat (commissioned by Bobfather)

My older brother, The Bobfather, AKA Bobwhy, has commissioned me to do, for him, a Picasso-Esque Gato (cat) ... using the same backwards-canvas idea I did on the Luz de Sol canvas a while back. As soon as I got his email, I had a BAM vision and knew what I wanted to do. Below, very poorly photographed, is my initial sketch for the project. I decided to share more of the process this time, since that is what interests me so much about other people's art, but which so few people take the time to describe. Now, Bobfather is somewhat color-challenged, dare we say color blind? But patterns! Yea ... hence the crazy swirls and curlicues. Also, from everything 'Piccaso' I've been looking at on-line, that guy was a lunatic for pattern. PERFECT!! Below: the 'to-do' list, somewhat daunting at the beginning but tonight I can cross off at least one item -- pre-wash the fabric! (It's in the dryer as we speak - you go, Girl!) I don't want to give away any more than that just now -- this is mostly just a sneak peek at overall idea and materials to be used. I do want to say that my commission fee is actually a trade: canvas for his airbrush compressor and generator, which he's had for eons but no longer uses. Also included: lessons in airbrush operation.
